VCCI Certification
- The Japanese VCCI certification is managed by the VolitaryControlCouncil for InterferencebyInformationTechnologyEquipment (Japan Civil Information Technology Equipment Radio Control Committee). The Japanese VCCI is an electromagnetic compatibility certification mark. According to CISPR22, whether the information technology products meet the requirements of VCCI is evaluated. The EMC standard of this committee is completely based on the international standard CISPR22. There is no immunity standard in Japan at present, However, it is planned that in the next few years, the newly established JIS/EMC Standards Development Committee will quote IEC61000 series of standards to develop standards on EMC immunity. The Japanese VCCI logo is a voluntary and non-mandatory certification.
- It has been nearly 20 years since Japan began to carry out EMC voluntary certification (VCCI) for information technology products in 1985. This certification has become an important certification system in Japan. With the continuous improvement of the market, people have gradually formed a consensus that only information technology products with VCCI logo can be recognized by the market. At present, almost all information technology products produced or sold in Japan are generally required to undergo VCCI certification, which is a symbol of product quality.

Japan VCCI certification process
- The manufacturer or agent submits an oral or written preliminary application;
- The applicant shall provide the application form, product instructions, technical documents and prototype;
- For product testing, the laboratory shall issue the test report and VCCI conformity certificate.

Instructions for VCCI Certification in Japan
- The manufacturer shall first apply to become a member of VCCI before using the VCCI logo. In order to obtain the approval of VCCI, the EMI test report provided must be signed and issued by the test institution registered and recognized by VCCI. Japan currently has no immunity standards.
- Manufacturers can become members of the organization as long as they pay the membership fee and the annual membership fee. That is, after receiving the product test report, the customer must pay the membership fee and membership fee at VCCI before using the VCCI label, which is the so-called registration procedure in Japan.
- Products that have passed the VCCI standard will be allowed to affix the correct VCCI label on the products. The A-level label of the product shall indicate that the product complies with the RF radiation clause, whereas the B-level product shall only display the basic VCCI symbol. That is, this certification is only for IT computer peripheral equipment, and is not suitable for any electronic and electrical products.
